Mission Statement
Did you know that corporate recruiters in the U.S. are flooded with 45 million resumes a day? Employers’ recruiting process typically tries to disqualify you and narrow down the number of candidates for the job from the very beginning. This process also makes it difficult to reach out by other means to get their attention.
I'm George Martin, and as your career path coach, I will help you get qualified, stand out among your peers, and put your best foot forward to engage corporate recruiters. I've worked with hundreds and hundreds of hiring managers for more than 35 years, and I know what they look for, what they want, and where the land mines are. I'll help you not only get a hiring manager’s attention, but I’ll prepare you to deliver a knockout punch for your interviews and increase your employment offers.
How Does a Career Path Coach Work?
Your career may not be the most important thing, but it affects every aspect of your life, so the first thing I do is listen to you. You have a distinct set of life circumstances, a unique personality, skill sets, and expertise, as well as your own set of goals. I'm here to help you clarify the desires and choices that will be effective on your path. In short, I need to understand you before I guide you.
I'm here to assist you in your next career advancement step, but I'm also here once you land a new position. I offer ongoing support that you can depend on when challenges come your way. Things like a conflict with your boss or a coworker, a promotion or bonus disappointment, or when you're considering your next strategic move. My long-term commitment is to offer you more options to create more choices for you.
Why Develop a Career Plan?
When a company has a product to sell, the marketing team develops a long-term plan for its introduction, promotion, and evolution. You are no different. You have a certain number of years left to work. What do you want to achieve during that time? The best way to achieve your goals is to create a strategic plan to get there.
Since your career is ongoing, it’s crucial to have a continuing support coach that keeps you on your path. I want to be your long-term partner as you navigate all the years of your career.
